StreetSmARTS is a San Francisco-based program in which private property owners may opt in and have a mural painted on their property. This program was initially created to offer a solution to unsolicited graffiti or having to pay associated city fines.

Based on user data from mural artists, we knew we had to focus on identifying artist preferences first and foremost. This could be done by guiding users to complete a detailed step-by-step profile creation process. The final flow shown below was our team's second iteration.

The thoughtful design behind the StreetSmARTS app could not have been achieved without the help of my UX team.
As the lead designer, I loved creating interactive prototypes, style guides, and providing visual design mentorship for my team. We made various variations to our designs, and led a design studio when we felt stuck during the user flow creation. In this experience I gained confidence in setting design goals, project collaboration, and presenting my work.
The ability to attract talent of all levels and styles to the StreetSmARTS app helps expand the business' reach and overall artist/client satisfaction. By providing a platform that guides users through a detailed process, artists can worry less about looking for roles, and spend more time on what's important, painting!
